Socialistic essentialism is the logical origin of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics and underlines the latter from the beginning to the end. Summing up historical experiences,Deng Xiaoping scientifically generalized the essence and development of socialism in a scientific way in reply to a major proposition of “What is socialism”.CPC enriched Deng’s definition of scientific socialism in the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy.General Secretary Xi Jinping further put forward five concepts of the new normal development for socialism with Chinese characteristics,clarifying the issue of development for whom and by whom with a deeper interpretation of “propelling shared development”.That is to say,socialistic essentialism is the soul for contemporary Marxist political economist.
